See if I still like the 6 series after all this time. Probably the most beautiful review I’ve ever made.

  1. Your reviews are something else! Not too techy, there are enough of those. Really enjoyable!

Also great clear sound from in the car, how did you manage that?

  2. I swear that you are a 640d salesman in disguise! The fact that I agree with you is entirely coincidental. But you are very persuasive about it.

Thanks for the great, fun and enjoyable reviews. Best o' the Irish!

  3. Love this car, especially the inline 6 diesel. I drove the 530D M sport and although that's the detuned version and has a single turbocharger with 250bhp it sounds just as good, this engine doesn't sound like a diesel. The noise makes you wanna break the rules 😉

  4. I would like to see you reviewing the Alpina D3 and then, maybe making a comparison to this. I know they are very different beasts size and styling wise.. but as a a perfect car proposition.. the smaller and more powerfull D3 might be the better choice in the real world. I hope it will happen!

  5. I've picked mine up last Friday and have nearly every possible extra available ,factory order. They've just done a spring update which gives you built-in Wi-Fi hotspot and a new Idrive display the same as the new seven series. I've watched all your reviews on the six series well done mate.

  6. Hi Bob, I've only recently discovered your channel, but I'm hooked. You have a fantastic way of delivering "feeling" and passion in your reviews. I love this drive-along format, and most importantly, I believe what you're expressing. Your theory about ownership happiness is so spot on. You've got a new subscriber. Thanks for this great video. Cheers to many more.

  7. I've had one for 2 years (same colour as this car inside and out) and it's definitely the best car I've ever had. New regulators on all windows this month, but otherwise not put a foot wrong in 36K miles. Had 2 Jag XFS's before it which were great (a little quieter and more refined – the 640 is more gruff) but the Beemer is miles better.

  8. I'm with you on this one. I think the series 6 Gran Coupe is just the biz: I would love one, I prefer it to the 2 door model. I see you had a head up display on your test car. When I bought my 5 series I opted for HUD and it is simply fantastic. I have been using HUD for 7 years and feel slightly uneasy when driving a car that does not have it.

  9. Is an M6 really worth twice the money as say a 640, or at least 50% more? Surely not. I imagine the 640 is smoother over the british roads and quick enough. Any thoughts?

  10. Bob, I work at BMW and I am so gratified to see the joy you have for your 6 series. What type of camera and lens are you using, the image is crisp and beautiful

  11. Brilliant, simple, highly watchable review – most of the time I don't really give a toss about tenth of seconds around a track, it's the day to day liveability. Nice one Bob.

  12. Bob did you know the headrest cushion was independently adjustable? Looks like you had the left slide of the cushion extended and the other side flat, which would push your head in the direction you mentioned.

  13. My 2014 640d gc has just passed 100000miles and i still love it. It has it all, power, looks, economy, reliability(so far). Was thinking about maybe changing it as the milage has hit a milestone, but there is no other car i would change it for except the v8 diesel panamera, (and i cant afford that) or a newer 640d gc so im gona keep it and keep on driving. Its a brillant car, and there is some buzz when you beat the likes of an rs focus off the line in a diesel….
