I'd have the 7-Series over all of the competitors, the only other car I'd take is the CT6.
I wish BMW would put their money into making them reliable. BMW's or like a bad girlfriend; always breaking down and costing you money.
You'd rather get an S-Class because you want to drive it yourself? Dude, what?
I bought a 750xi with the M package in 2016 and absolutely love the car. It is fun like a sports car with the luxury of a sedan. You can keep the Mercedes S I drove one of those for a day before I bought the 750. It just was not as fun to drive.
I love it but they need to offer the US a non-longwheelbase version. Nobody wants to dive their $130k car feeling like a chauffeur.
My dad has a 2016 BMW 750i and it's incredible! We test drove the new S550 and that was definitely more luxurious and had a more comfortable ride. But what sold us on the 750 was its sportiness to drive, loaded with great technology, and seemed more user friendly to operate. Just depends on your wants/preferences.
I believe the 750 is a more complete car. Meaning u can enjoy the car as a driver or a passenger. I think that's what BMW was shooting for. Its great that a person can go from driving to passenger anytime. BMW wins. Thanks for the video!!!
It sees like auto makers can not win when it comes to reviewers. If critics ask for more technology on a generation ago model and the automaker responds with more technology, the critics then say they are trying to be like_________. I think at the end of the day people have brands they like and justify liking them no matter what competitors do. Btw, this is not limited to beemer vs benz. I have seen this kind of "bias" all over the place. It would be great if they could do a controlled study with no badges somehow. I know that would be very difficult because of the interior styling heritage.

anyone else hear that rattlely sound at the start of the acceleration test , detonation loose flex plate??
I feel the BMW looks boring and doesn't seem to a luxury car. The styling on the Mercedes from the inside to outside is much more appealing and practical. It can stand out in the crowd with its large headlights, rear lights style and the body contours. In the inside the whole dashboard looks as if you are already in next decade of car design. The back seat comfort just can't be matched and with other variants of it it looks practical as well.
I have the 2012 BMW 750i
I'd get a Quattroporte or XJL any day over a 7-series. The 7-series doesn't look or feel special enough for the money.
For someone who reviews cars professionally, how can you fawn over the gesture control as anything more than a weak, gimmick? Not to mention time spent talking about the technology which is really nothing more than all cars in this class must have to be competitive.
BMW 7 is Driving Car and Comfortable Car 100% innovations car is N.1
the tech will depreciate even faster than the car in a few years time
It's a luxury car review yet this guy never showed the interior
you are right Mark Law s class is more better
Better in comfort & refinement? I don't think so.
Just a car Roman, calm down! Anybody that desires all that nonsense is a moron to begin with. Today you see people driving those cars with their pants coming up to no more then the bottom of their ass! Take off the sport jacket and calm down.
How much does it cost to maintain this, imitation of a Mercedes Benz? How about how reliable are the electronics on it to warrant the 130K price tag that I'd rather go Bri'ish or MB with?
Hey both the BMW and Mercedes are good, it is like splitting hairs between the two, maybe buy the BMW and Mercedes if you can afford one buy the other one.
S class is also nice, can't take away from it but… rooting for the big 7!
They copied Mercedes….. That's why mercrdes is always the best
I don't know why but the headlights looks cheap.
shut review. how about showing us the interior
In my experience, the S class feels big and thumpy on the road, while the 7 series feels smooth and agile.
Watching the review, felt like he made up his mind before he even drove the car.
The Mercedes ISNT the best seller. The best seller is the Tesla model S……… look it up GEEZ
Review the Jaguar F- Pace next
he just forgot to do a picture of the dashboard. what a tosser.
4.93 one mile above sea level?
The gear changes appeared a bit jerky with hard acceleration judging by the movement of your torso. Was it? Agree the front is too fussy while the back is no more handsome than its predecessor. I do prefer the dashboard – the Merc's looks a bit too Liberace and bulky. Side by side comparison would be great. Thanks for a great review.
It would be interesting to actually see a bit of the car… ie the interior/dash/console.
BMW abandoned its "ultimate driving machine" ethos over a decade ago. It's gone. Along with the car's confused styling, the character of BMWs is a mixed bag of good and bad. Want a great driving luxo-sedan? Get a Mercedes Benz S63 AMG.
