  1. always knew the 'vette was overhyped…..

    and my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 does a consistent 0 to 60 in 4.4 secs and that's only with CAI system….imagine what she'll do with a cat-back exhaust and a tune…..

  2. Damn my challenger rt redline is a waaaaay better deal. Cheaper, actually muscle car vibes. And I can hit 5.2 seconds with sport and manual shifting on auto trans. Plus It’s a full size car. Shits huge as hell. Corvettes look cool and are nice cars but super impractical for a Daily driver. Im definitely just gonna wait and buy a second challenger for pleasure. Probably a 392Srt or the hellcat if I get a good deal.

  3. Who let you drive this car? I own one, and I could beat your 0-60 time going uphill. 5 and 1/2 seconds? Jesus. I think I would have figured out what i was doing wrong before I uploaded this video.

  4. I test drove two of these – both Z51A8 models with 15K miles at near sea level in Houston and Dallas. One was a 2015 2LT and one was a 2016 3LT. Zero to 60 was 3.68 on the first run by myself with the 2015 and 3.75 with a 240 pound salesman riding in the passenger seat with the 2016. I bought a brand new 2017 3LT in Austin and so far, on the couple of times I ran it up to redline, it matches these two with only 200 miles on the engine. I’m driving it easy for a thousand miles until it breaks in and then going to a K&N air filter and expecting lower times. PS – GM tells you that the auto is faster than the manual regardless of how they may “feel”. At the end of the zero to 60 and the quarter mile runs, a manual will always be looking at the A8’s taillights. Sorry old schoolers I’m just sayin….

  5. They've made these cars faster, etc., but certainly no more attractive. Corvettes don't turn heads any more; they seem to be only desirable to guys with the middle-aged crazies.

  6. The Corvette, in its 7 incarnations has been  around since 1953 and, at long last, it can now compete with European Sports cars. It no longer has the crude engineering of yester-year and is now a full on weapon. WHAT THE FUCK TOOK YOU SO LONG CHEVROLET?

  7. in our german EU version C7 Z51 prospekt they mention 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 4.2sec. …. but no word if automatic; idiots. And the new Camaro with the same powertrain 4.5sec.
    Mutang does 4.8sec.
New little AUDI TTRS with 5cyl turbo in 3.7sec due to AWD which is on par with the Z06 time in our chevy data sheet.

  8. I don't understand why a base 2002 3.6 Porsche 996 with 320 hp does 0-60 under 5 seconds and this Corvette with a bigger displacement and hp is slower. Either a rookie driver or no traction.
