Awesome fast car review: Watch the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Debut at the Detroit Auto Show

( ) Watch the Brand New Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. They added the monster super-charged 6.2-liter LT4 engine estimated at 625+ HP and 635+ lb-ft of twist. It sends this herculean force to the rear wheels via choice of two transmissions: 8-speed paddle shifted automatic or 7-speed manual.

The Z06 has a host of light-weight components and aerodynamic tweaks. All this makes for a highly capable race-track ready Corvette with so much downforce to let it put all the ponies to the tarmac and get amazing track times. In fact, the new Z06 is faster around GM’s test track than the venerable ZR-1.

  1. It would be nice to see the 2015 Corvette Z06, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Nissan GTR Nismo, McLaren Mp4-12C, and the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbos S ALL in a drag race.

  2. For the most part I retract me statement about its looks and it going to perform well of course but I could do with a more advanced splitter that doesn't have sideburns

  3. whoa that's a sexy looking zo6, i wonder if this is going to replace the zr1? or are they going to make a zr1 with like 670 to 680 hp, anyone have any ideas?

  4. I think it is ugly as fuck, it looks like it has side burns with that front splitter running into the front wheel arch. Also they are proud to advertise two transmission choices on a 600+ hp car who cares I think the subtlety of the stingray made it more appalling it looks like they threw a bunch of crap on the car

  5. Yeah you old "manual" transmission guys need to get a clue. A manual transmission will never be as fast as a dual clutch paddle shift auto. Stick shifts are a thing of the past. Let it goooooo. Aren't you tired of getting your asses kicked by a gtr?

  6. For the people complaining about the automatic option. First off, calm your tits. It's going to be offered in 7 speed manny as well. No harm done. Second, this car is packing so much torque that it really doesn't matter which transmission you'd get. You'll have a good time in either, while slaughtering $500,000 European dream machines. (This isn't the 90's anymore you know?) And third… YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT!!! So you shouldn't be complaining…
