Awesome Hot Wheels Review: Clarion Builds’ 400 HP 1991 Acura NSX – One Take

Clarion Builds has been cranking out some greatness recently; first their spectacular BMW 2002 impressed us with not only its performance but also its quality, and now we have this 1991 Acura NSX. Starting with a tired driver with over 200,000 miles on it, the Clarion Builds team swapped in the entire driveline from a later, 3.2L NSX including the six-speed gearbox, then added a Comptech Supercharger package for a resulting 400+ horsepower. They completely re-did the car’s bodywork, paint, and interior, and installed a suite of electronics including surround cameras and obviously, a crazy new stereo system. 1. man, you complain too much. i never see Doug DeMuro bitch and complain inside a loaned super car or whatever like you do. and then, you talk shit about the tuned cars you previously reviewed on following episodes. yeah, you did it, bro.

  2. I could be completely wrong but this reflects more of my opinion, shouldn't it be driving at a higher rpm to get more vtec pull and the supercharger seems to overcompensate for this with less rpm and more power/torque…I would opt for maybe a flash tune and all NA mods and upgrades instead of the supercharger, it works on an s2000 for some reason but it seems to come up short on a v6 engine for some reason, not sure exactly but I would pass on the supercharger. even a header might be a better choice…

  3. That is so clean in that blue they did great job with everything but ive never understood supercharging hondas instead of turbo since they love to rev and vtec and turbo at the same time is probably orgasmic

  4. You could not drive a manual if your fkn life depended on it. I find it funny that a fathead like you would review anything else but a scooter. And by scooter i mean, a scooter at walmart.

You didn't really seem that stoked on this car, to be honest. When you did the more recent one take of the black SW20 MR2 you were pumped about that. Both being mid-ship and early 90's japanese sports cars, how would you compare the handling characteristics and feel of these cars?
