This unassuming looking Toyota Corolla is an exercise in lightweight fun. Originally purchased as a parts car for the owner’s Pontiac Vibe, it was so much fun to drive he kept it. It features a TRD Supercharger, which makes about 200 Wheel Horsepower through a limited-slip differential and a light flywheel. It has a race-spec clutch, race seat, gutted interior, and a full suspension upgrade featuring coil overs, control arms, sway bars, and end links. It is an absolute blast to drive.

  1. I have a 2004 Corolla and it is also a manual. And it is the same colour. Koodos!!! 🙂 we have the same car but mind is not modded. I like your style.

  2. 2512lbs with him in it and 2400lbs even with nobody in it and a full tank of guys…. So if I did my math correctly he weighs only 112lbs. I'm no internet asshole by any means but I think the scales were off a bit. on another note I really enjoy cars like this, keep up the good work.

  3. lol this video is perfect. I own an mkiv supra 700whp, but I also own a 2003 corolla. I feel like I need to mod mine now. I love driving it. It feels so solid with the same toyota magic that my supra has; it's just a fraction of the power. the vvti rips though. I often ponder what it would be like to turbo it. I didn't even know you could get suprachargers for the 1zz…… hngggggggg.

  4. Did He just said , He wouldn't mind testing a High Performance Vibe Gt ? I have one for him to test with a 2ZZGE HIGH OUTPUT Naturally Aspirated . Equipped with PIPER CAMS , Cold Air Intake , Custom HEADERS . Great car with 252670 miles and still running strong .

  5. I just bought a 2010 Toyota Corolla S today for $500 bucks. No issues or anything just 200k on the dash. I'm about to build the hell out of it! FUCTIONALLY! Daily driver and weekend racer.

  6. i have a 03 collora that i built for the gambler 500, so lift, 27" superswampers, adjustable shocks. but i need more power. i revisited this episode remembering how good it was, but i'm torn between a superchager or turbo for the little 1zz. it looks like 3k$ either way. which is so hard to justify when i paid 200$ for the whole car. plus mine is still auto, and i just dont think it'll hold up to boost + 27in tires :/. offroad cars as a daily are the most fun.

  7. everybody saying this guy reminds them of Jesse from fast & furious? The inflection of his monotone voice could be why and his delayed reaction to some of the questions.
