  1. I too would go with the base R8 or the new RWS…the wing IS ugly…very 70's American Muscle Car looking. Plus all rear wings…even if they are functional…you need to be traveling at at least 130 MPH for it to help with the handling. In North America that is very hard to do on city streets to do safely and to keep within the law.

Add…there isn't much of a performance difference. If 0-60 MPH times are important..the difference is only 3/10ths of a second. 🙂 Which no one's going to notice. 🙂

  2. Hi Thomas, you have a very good point at the end of the video with regards to a fleet of TT's versus one R8. I have to agree with that reasoning, one could easily get two TT RS's, maybe even one Coupe and one Roadster and have them tuned by ABT and still have money left over for a more practical daily car such as a RS3 or Q5 or one of the Avant models 🙂 Brilliant review as always! Thank you! Greetings from Cape Town

  3. Love the "This part here says: I'm king of the racetrack!" lmao
Also laughing at how Audi kept the older better looking key for the R8 '16 but changed to a newer uglier key for the lower models this year

  4. Dear Thomas, I always enjoy your videos, they are very detailed but I really get the feeling that you're not a sports car type of guy, so I rather see you in a Mercedes SL or Jaguar XK, no offense.
That said, maybe you should leave the sports car reviews to someone else who actually appreciates these cars, just saying.
No, I would never take an Audi TT over the R8 (are you nuts???) and whenever the Mercedes SL comes up, I get a serious allergy. You are right about the R8 V10 Plus standard bucket seats but you kind of forgot to mention that Audi offers optional (free of cost) sport seats, which are much more comfortable.
Also, you should work on some of your English words, you sometimes translate them directly from German into English but they do not really make sense in English. Same goes to your accent, you are using a German accentuation for English words, which of course does not really sound too good. This comes from a fellow German.
