  1. I like red, white and blue colour on this car, but if someone counts every 1000£ than mazda mx-5 is the choice 16 000£ compare around 50 000£ for boxster is massive saving and for ordinary driver is still a lot a fun to have with mazda-5 perhaps even more. But as owner of boxster you will get a bit of privilege feeling, feel you have something special in your garage.

  2. Diegofinance asked if Porsche is bringing the sound into the cabin through speakers behind the seats…if speakers are visible behind the seats?…the Porsche dealer by my house has switched to Volkswagen only.

  3. Yes…what do you need checked? I am surprised that if Porsche is utilizing speakers to enhance the sound of the 718, that they don’t make it sound like a flat 6 (artificially)

  4. I recently found this channel, and I’m very impressed with the reviews. I am a current owner of a WRX with twin turbo, and I can say with certainty that this does not sound like a Subaru. I have driven a 2010 GT3 and was blown away by the intoxicating sound of the flat 6, so I understand the disappointment with the loss of the exhaust note. I am a previous owner of a 1973 914 with the 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder engine. The 914 weighed approximately 2000 pounds and the engine produced only 95 hp. I can truly say that the mid engine, low weight, relatively low hp Porsche, was a blast to drive (former owner of a Boss 302 Mustang). Turbo 4 cylinder engines are here to stay for various reasons (performance and emissions) and whether they reduce the number of sales of the 718, is yet to be seen…thank you for these great review.

  5. Dear Thomas, could you get in touch with Porsche people and ask them why they installed two speakers behind the seats just to play fake engine sound and why no reviewer is disclosing this in their reviews?? Do you work for Porsche ? Why Porsche is destroying their heritage by doing this?

  6. I saw a lot of reviews of the 728 and Autogefühl is doing a great job.  One remark Thomas : I am missing "night shots", meaning how is the interior looking in the dark (the 718 can be equipped with led lights int the interior, is this a good option ?) and how do the lights look at night on the outside ?  Maybe an idea for the future ?

  7. I have to say you are the best person to evaluate a car. I will buy a 718 because I want one plus but your honest no nonsense review of this car really is helpful. Your knowledge and expertise is really appreciated!

  8. I almost feel like I had a test drive after watching this review. You did a fabulous job. Your video quality and communication skills are superb.

  9. Thanks so much for testing a manual again.
    Great review.
I had a chance to drive one a month ago with the DSG, superb.
Hope I can one day drive the manual.
    For a little more fun.
